If you aren't training for a competition, and rather to keep yourself fit, or just lose those extra pounds for the summer months (or to fit into that dress for a special event), don't go mad on the cardio, always keep your weight training up. A lot of women think that my lifting weights they will 'get too big' and look like a man, when this simply is not the case. Unless you are taking some sort of steroid or other banned substance, your body will not turn out looking like a man. If you train sensibly and eat smart, you will have the lean athletic looking figure you're looking for. If you are unsure of what exercises to do for different body parts, feel free to drop me an email, or talk to the trainers at your gym, they'll be able to advise you on correct technique and they should provide you with a training plan as part of your membership.
